Coal Eyes

Take me on Molasses,
Forgive my unfortunate tirades,
I never meant to hurt a soul.
It's biological.

When I blink and flinch,
It's because of your,
Coal eyes gazing,
And amazing.

Softer and slower,
Below the ocean of blankets,
Shining through,
Coal eyes gazing.

If I imagined it to be,
Hard enough,
Even the sap on the trees,
Can't hold me down.

Shifting in a world made of paper,
Softer than stones,
Folding up small,
Gluing myself to arms.

Gazing back at coal eyes,
Trying to amaze them,
Hoping to imagine them,
Praying to glue myself down.

Serpent

Chill,
A cold chill,
Pressing against my skin,
Shivering my spine,
Trickling through my hands.
Pale face, quivering lips.
A raw steadiness in,
Only existing.
What if I'm not ready,
To fade out yet.
Kissing my own hand,
A serpent on the floor,
Rusting around the edges,
I don't know if I can fix this.
Who's going to help me fix this?
Hands sliding over eyes.

Over It

You used to tell me,
That you were in love with my words.
That you wanted them drawn on your skin.
Do you wonder if I'm over it,
If I'm ok?
Because I'm not over it,
And I'm not ok.
I'm not over it,
And I'm not ok.
