Breath Stealer

Nothing will be just as it was,
After leaving my body buzzing,
Humming for you.
Like a sugar rush.
I'm not going to hurt you,
It's destiny we met.
And it's destiny we'll create,
Flying to Paris for a day,
Just to stare at each other,
From across a small cafe table,
Your eyes bringing me closer,
And closer to home.
Sensing you next to me,
Trickling down my spine,
Resonating through my bones,
Stealing every breath I take.

Diamonds

You and your diamond skin,
Reaching out over mountains,
Falling between the cracks,
Falling out,
Somewhere.

If it wasn't for this galaxy between us,
No need for a rocket,
A rocket ship,
Zipping past supernovas.
Waving at the stars.

Are they waving back?
The stars,
Can they read our determination,
Or do they live on in ice,
In diamond skin.
