Melodies falling,
Speaking truths.
On a cold night,
What has the chance,
To grow.
Trickling down my skin,
I can't help but to,
Stare off into space.
It makes my eyes feel light,
Lighter than they are,
Illumination.
Over impulsive,
And under exposed,
Fingers on strings.
How could I behave,
Layered in songs,
Curling up with machines.
What grew,
On this cold night.
I can feel the bones,
On your shoulders,
Bringing out the calm.
Calling ships to shore,
I can be,
Illuminating.
The night,
Always making me cry,
How else could I behave?
Breaking,
Lost at sea,
Illuminating.
You carried me home,
How else could I behave?
